Fire Fighting Project Engineer - Abu Dhabi
About the job
The Fire Fighting Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design, installation, and maintenance of fire protection systems. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety standards, project specifications, and local fire safety regulations. The engineer will coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure timely completion of fire protection projects within budget and quality parameters.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop firefighting systems such as sprinklers, fire alarms, extinguishing systems, and hydrants.
Review and approve fire safety designs in line with project specifications and safety codes.
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and consultants to integrate fire protection systems into building designs.
Supervise the installation and commissioning of firefighting systems at project sites.
Ensure that all fire protection systems comply with local fire safety standards, international codes, and regulations.
Coordinate with construction teams to ensure smooth execution and installation of fire protection systems.
Conduct site inspections and tests to ensure the fire protection systems are installed correctly and functioning as intended.
Prepare testing and commissioning reports and follow up on any corrective actions required.
Liaise with fire authorities for inspections and certifications.
Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including drawings, technical reports, and regulatory compliance paperwork.
Ensure all fire safety documentation is up-to-date and accessible to stakeholders.
Lead and manage teams of engineers, contractors, and technicians in the execution of fire protection system installations.
Train team members on fire safety protocols, system operations, and troubleshooting.
Act as the primary point of contact with clients to understand project requirements and ensure their needs are met.
Provide ongoing technical support and solutions to client’s post-project completion.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in fire protection system design and project management.
Knowledge of local fire safety regulations and international fire safety standards
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software for fire system layout designs.
Strong knowledge of firefighting systems, safety codes, and local fire protection regulations.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Senior Electrical Engineer - Abu Dhabi

Scalaria is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical design, installation, and project management, particularly in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for overseeing the electrical engineering aspects of MEP projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and leading a team of engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead electrical engineering projects, from design to installation, ensuring alignment with project timelines and budget.
Supervise and mentor electrical engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
Prepare electrical designs, specifications, and technical reports for MEP projects.
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients to deliver integrated solutions.
Review and approve electrical designs, ensuring compliance with Al Ain Distribution Company (AADC) and Abu Dhabi standards.
Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure quality control and compliance with safety regulations.
Prepare technical documents, BOQs, and reports for project progress and completion.
Liaise with government authorities, utility companies, and other stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 4 years in Al Ain or Abu Dhabi.
Must be familiar with AADC and Abu Dhabi distribution company requirements and approval processes.
Proven experience in MEP projects, including design, installation, and commissioning.
Excellent knowledge of UAE electrical codes, safety standards, and building regulations.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and project management abilities.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
